Let me explain; Finding a balance between fitness Let me explain;

Finding a balance between fitness and enjoying your life was very difficult for me in the beginning. 

I had an all or nothing mindset where I wouldn’t allow myself any treats, worked out every day, and felt guilty for drinking or relaxing. 

I would try a new diet every month or so- convinced that there was some ‘secret’ out there. 

The secret is this-

Food is fuel. Eat 80% nutritious foods and 20% fun foods. Don’t restrict, don’t be scared to eat carbs, and don’t just throw the towel in after a ‘bad day’ (all or nothing mindset). 

Even as a fitness coach- I have days where I over eat, eat like shit, skip the gym, drink too many margs- it’s normal. 

The important part is getting back on track, making sure your program includes weight training to improve body composition and increase metabolism, staying hydrated, and eating ENOUGH food. 

Ladies- if your goal is to grow your glutes and create curves on your body, you can’t be afraid to lift heavy and eat more✌🏼

Do you still believe that you have to cut out swee Do you still believe that you have to cut out sweets in order to burn body fat and stay toned?

I’m here to tell you that you absolutely CAN and SHOULD enjoy sweets still ☺️

Here’s how:

1.) macro tracking to fit treats into your day without costing you any progress 

2.) make sure to have balanced meals throughout the day before enjoying sweets so your body is getting the fuel it needs to burn body fat and build muscle. 

3.) understand that restriction only leads to binging and lack of control around certain foods. 
Eating sweets in moderation when you want them, will prevent the urge to eat a ton of them in fear that you won’t be ‘allowed’ to eat them again. 

The only ‘sweets’ I avoid as a nutrition coach is sugary soda because of how much sugar is in one can. 35+ grams!

I would much rather have a bowl of ice cream or a piece of chocolate and feel more satisfied than drinking my sugar ☺️

I get it- you’re going on fun dates, eating pizza and snacks in bed, skipping workouts to snuggle and not taking care of yourself as much as you did when you were a single gal 😏

We slip into a comfortable routine of giving less f*cks. 

But come on, is that really how you want to show up for the person you care about?

You’re lying if you say attraction doesn’t matter that much, it’s a KEY factor in a healthy intimate relationship. 

So how do you avoid this pattern? 
Because the average person gains 17 lbs within the FIRST YEAR of meeting their SO. 

🦋create healthy habits together and hold each other accountable. Meal prep and watch Netflix at the same time- make it fun! Buy matching hydros to stay on top of hydration, use exercise as part of your quality time and go together. 

🦋set standards for yourself. If not for your parter, for YOU. What does your highest self look like? Feel like? Act like? & take action. 

🦋don’t bring a ton of unhealthy snacks into bed. Watching tv while mindlessly eating leads to over eating. We did that one time and we’re sick for a day after 🤣 not worth it. Just bring a small snack! Fresh and frozen fruit is my go to while watching tv. 

🦋continue to keep the spark alive and remember that attraction is part of this spark. I will never stop lifting or getting my hair/nails/lips done just because I’m in a relationship. 

🦋think about what a great MILF you’ll make.
